What have you been up to since you graduated?
Nancy and I were married April 11, 1970. Nancy and I have been active in numerious events, clubs and activities over the years. We both have always worked sometimes a couple of jobs and even owning our own businesses. I was a fireman for 14 years. I taught at Vanguard for five years. I designed the covered bridges at Community Park. These were in addition to working twenty years in the trucking industry and twenty years in the Graphics and the Sign industry full time and owning our own upholstery and commerial sewing business for over twenty-five years. We are now entering our sixth year in the sign business. Nancy has been on the school board for over 35 years, twelve years on the Bellevue Hospital Board and serveral other boards. Nancy was also the CEO of Pearce Ins. at one point. She has worked every day since being a grad of Clyde High. We have raised four children who have done well. We have 10 Grandchildren...
two sets of twins (one set of girl and a boy and girl twins) and one set of triplets (all boys). We are very proud of how close our family is, even taking family vacations together. Holidays are a real blast when all twenty one of us are together. Great-Grandma Greenslade passed away of summer 2014. Dad passed in 2005 and life was never the same for Mom. We loved her so much, it was so very hard to see life becoming so hard for her. I owe both my parents so much... The old man for being so tough and Mom for being so loving. Both of Nancy's parents are gone. Jean has been gone for thirty years and Marvin has been gone for fifteen years. Jean was always the business person and Marvin was the PR person, what a team. Marvin and Jean made Pearce Ins. Marvin remarried (Carol). Carol, has become Grandma Carol to our family and all the kids have been to visit Grandma Carol in Florida.
We are so very proud of our kids... Jenny - MD, and VP of NOMS. Ryan - AD Clyde High, and just finished a 2 1/2 million dollar improvement project at the school. Adam - Director of Governmental Affairs for The Ohio Turnpike and Marissa - Equine Chiropractic Massage Therapist. Marissa and her husband breed draft horses as a sideline. They have as many as thirty head of horses at a time on a 80 acre farm. Jonathan and his father own an investment company. Marissa was married in December 2015. All of our kids have done well, hard workers and smart. We have been blessed again.
